During this general overview, participants will become familiar with a variety of gangs, their origins, transient nature, and modus operandi. Information such as common gang graffiti, recognition of paraphernalia, indicia, signs & symbols will be shared that will assist law enforcement and school faculty in identifying potential gang members and their known rivals. A discussion of current trends and best practices to combat the presence and influence of gangs will be discussed.
